I am very sad to report that friend and club mate Ron Jones passed away over the weekend, he had recently moved in to a care home due to problems with his legs. He was a skilled restorer, enginner with a lot of knowledge on old motorcycles. Ron was the first man to win a televised race from Aberdare Park on his home tuned Triumph which he had converted to swinging arm. He also competed in the clubmans TT and many other road. Another of his achievements was that he was the stand in for The Monocled Muntineer film in the motorcycle scene’s. Of late he had been helping Pete Thomas tune his sprinting machine. After the death of his wife Ron took up walking with his son.He will be sadly missed by his son, Daughter in law and Granddaughter plus his many friends and club mates. Rest in peace Ron you may have left us but you will not be forgotten. The details of his funeral will be annouced as they be come.
