The Bucket & Spade run was a great success with 18 of us starting off from Kerry Village car park, another three joining us at the coffee stop at Bwlch y Nant Arian visitor center, the usual two suspects getting it wrong and joining us at SRM Engineering. Sadly Alan Dignan had a rear wheel problem at the coffee stop and returned home hope he had a safe journey. We were met at the factory by the Managing Director John Jolley who explained how the company was founded. We were then taken around the unit with John explaining about the work they did and about the various machines and how they worked, we finished of with the Dyno with a explanation on how it worked. It proved to be a very interesting visit thanking John we then went our separate ways with Steve Jones and my self heading for Machynlleth and the famous Hennighans fish and Chip shop, were we had some excellent fish and chips. From there we headed over the mountain for Llanidloes via the Lyn Clywedog Reservoir. A great day out in great company with really great biking weather. My thanks to the lads for turning out for the visit, all our runs entrance fees go to the Air Ambulance at the end of the year. My final thanks go to John Jolley and his team at SRM for allowing us to visit.
Our next Run will be on the 9th of July, The Summer Run starting from the Lazy Trout Cafe on the A49 Nr Church Stretton at 10.30am.
